Children's Writer's & Illustrator's Market 2015

The 27th Annual Edition 2015 Children's Writer's & Illustrator's Market is a good pick whether you are a writer or an illustrator or both!
This year Harold Underdown is a contributing editor and Chuck Sambuchino reminds us of why writing and illustrating is so important.
Thirteen quick tips include becoming a member of SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writer's and Illustrators, Perfect Before Submitting and Don't Give Up.
There are also business articles on what to know before your first sale and keeping Uncle Sam happy.
Great article on how to write a query along with examples.
Articles on helping you perfect your craft include:
Middle Grade vs. Young Adult.
Picture books
Series characters
Sensitive subjects
Web Presence- and lots more.
Thirteen interviews and maybe the most interesting  is the new agents listing.
I always enjoy reading about the different contests. Often these will have a theme or line and it helps get story ideas swirling around my head.

If you thought this book was just a listing of potential markets, then you are in for a treat.

If you are interested in winning this book giveaway, you must leave a comment for a chance to win and you must live in the United States.

Please let me know what books you have found helpful to your writing career or what books you would like to see reviewed here.
Thank you for your continued support!

I would love to win the CWIM 2015. Thanks for making this opportunity available.

As for what other books I've found helpful, I used Magazine Markets for Children's Writers (but I'm not sure that it's still being published).

Yes, I love this book! A great resource for markets, but also full of writer's advice as well. Just bought "Wild Mind" at Spring Mingle which has loads of writing exercises. Might be a good one to review sometime.

Hi Sheila!
Books on writing craft are a favorite of mine! I always have one going...

I am currently reading (and loving) The Writer's Journey by Christopher Vogler.

Other favorites include:
Writing Great Books for Young Adults, by Regina Brooks
Bird by Bird, by Anne Lamott
Wild Mind, by Natalie Goldberg (which I was happy to see another reader post as well!)
The Courage to Write, by Ralph Keyes
Save the Cat, by Blake Snyder
The 90 Day Novel, by Alan Watt
And several books by Donald Maass... I could go on and on, but I will end there!

I've looked at only the markets, but you've inspired me to go back and read further. Thank you for making this available. Please enter me in this month's contest.

Thank you for the comments. I love hearing what books have been helpful to others.
I love the Magazine Markets for Children's Writer's, but did not get an offer like I usually do this year. I looked at the website and didn't see it advertised.
