A good way to break into print is to enter a contest. There are several contests that do not have an entry fee. To name a few: Children's Writer has extended their poetry contest to November 15. If you subscribe to this newsletter it does not cost anything. If you don't belong, then it will cost $15 BUT you get eight months of the newsletter free. Check back often because they have many contests throughout the year.
If you are older than 40 years of age check out Midlife Collage, again the entry free is 0! See Submission guidelines at midlifecollage.com
